Who's Jenni Vartiainen?

Jenni Vartiainen (born March 20, 1983 in Kuopio), is a Finnish singer who rose to publicity after winning Popstars reality show competition in Finland in2002 along with two other girls. The trio together formed a band called Gimmel and they released two albums before breaking up on October 2004. After that Vartiainen started her solo career.
Vartiainen's first single Tunnoton was released in April 2007 and the debut album Ihmisten edessä in September 2007. This spawned later singles, such asIhmisten edessäToinenMustaa kahvia, and Malja, of which Ihmisten edessä was the largest hit. Selling over 33,000 albums, which is a lot in Finland, her debut album went on to reach platinum status. Her second album was in March 2010, containing her latest single En haluu kuolla tänä yönä.
Vartiainen served as communal muse on week 7 of Muodin huipulle, whose challenge was won by Katri Niskanen. Olga Sjöroos, the loser of this challenge, was reprimanded for not understanding Jenni Vartiainen by likening her to a cannibal through the dress she made. This contrasted greatly with the child-like essence emitted by Katri's winning concoction, which truly lived up to the challenge in all aspects, including the headdress made of toys, which was another requirement for the challenge.
Vartiainen participated in the Starbucks Love Project, representing Finland with Higher Ground, singing All You Need Is Love on December 7, 2009 to raise awareness for AIDS in Africa.

She's on the number one chart for
Finland Apple i-Tune.
